Hannes is Mila through and through. His parents Hanni and Heini have a farm in Kohlern with 10 cows in the barn and are of cours Mila members. Already as a child Hannes knew that technology would be his world. Through his job in the Mila dairy he still manages to find a connection to the occupation of his parents – and he is doing so for nearly ten years now! After his vocational school of mechatronics he began in the Mila factory of Bolzano as a trainee. Afterwards he worked as an apprentice and passed his final exam of electrical engineering at the age of 17. Today Hannes is 25 years old and already second in command department manager of the RMB - repair and maintenance Bolzano. RMB staff members can be identified by their blue clothing. During his first years at Mila, Hannes got to Bolzano using the cable railway. From the cable railway station to Mila he used to take the bicycle. But one night the Mila Luis picked Hannes up, because there was a serious technical problem in the factory. After hours of working, the team managed to solve the problem just in time so that the fresh milk could be unloaded punctually. Also in these moments you realize how important the team of repair and maintenance is. As a mechatronic engineer Hannes is well versed in the different technological fields. Because a mechatronic engineer can be imagined “like somebody who builds a robot.” he explains. “You need to have skills in mechanics, electronics, electrical engineering and informatics.” Also at home Hannes cannot stop working with technology. For example he has built an automatic fountain that starts spurting water when his dog is getting close to the bowl. This way his Dog “Muffin” always has fresh water in the bowl and the neighbours does not have to worry about him. Because of his passion Hannes fits perfectly in the Mila team and he says of himself that he has turned his hobby into a profession.
