An aromatic cheese made in the tradition of South Tyrol’s alpine dairy farmers
Mila Mountain Cheese from the Pusteria Valley (Val Pusteria/Pustertal) is a
traditional table cheese with a minimum of 50% FDM (milkfat in dry matter) produced with
natural fresh milk from
alpine farms in the Pusteria Valley. Its aroma develops fully after about 60 days of ripening.
A
dark yellow to light brown rind and a yellow-white paste with scattered, pea-shaped eyes characterise this cheese from the Pusteria Valley. With 50% FDM (milkfat in dry matter), this specialty cheese from South Tyrol has a seductively
smooth, soft consistency. It is
highly aromatic with a flavour somewhere between mellow and mildly spicy.
