A specialty cheese from the Gardena Valley (Val Gardena/Grödnertal)
Mila’s master cheesemakers use premium milk fresh from the famed Gardena Valley’s
innumerable alpine dairies and seasonal pastures in order to produce this cheese, which is highly characteristic of South Tyrol.
Malga Gardena is firm in consistency with
irregular eyes. After about 80 days of ripening, it displays a
rind that is bright yellow to light orange in colour. During the ripening phase, an extraordinarily
fresh aroma and
a mild yet zingy flavour develop.
